Solution Manager 7.2 Installation Steps

Oracle 18C Installation for SAP

New Client Creation in SAP System

Login into any client in your system and perform following steps with highlighted in yellow color.

T-code : SCC4

Enter client number and other information and save.
We need to create logical system and maintained in logical system field.
Logical system creation using T-code BD54

Click on New Entries

Save above entry it will ask for transport request.
create transport request as per below screenshot

Now Add Logical system in new created client. As per below screenshot.

Now you can login in new created client with user SAP* and password "PASS"

if below parameter is not set in profile using T-code RZ10 then you are not able to login with SAP* users so please add below parameter in instance profile using T-code RZ10 and restart SAP system.

Oracle 12C installation

Create New user as oracle for installation.

Login with oracle user and perform below steps 

set password for user

Solution Manager 7.2 Installation Steps in Windows.

Download Software Provisioning Manager from marketplace

Extract .SAR file using command SAPCAR –xvf <SWPMFILE>.SAR

Run sapinst.exe file

Check Prerequisites as per below screenshot

After successfully completed prerequisites start installation SAP ABAP instance.

Run sapinst.exe file from SWPM.

 Set Master password

Don't required to set password because we already set master password in earlier steps

Provide all packages .SAR files

Provide installation export files

Set log files destination as per requirement and set MaxDatafiles size

Set oracle operating system service user password only.(which created during oracle 12C installation)

Check all parameters from parameter summary if required select and revised otherwise click on next to start installation process.

Successfully completed Solution manager 7.2 ABAP Instance installation.
